Policies

Deposit Requirements:

• We require a minimum, non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total price of your session or event at booking. This deposit will be deducted from your final total that will be due immediately following photography services provided by Harley Rose Photography. 

Photo Rights:

• It is vital that you do not claim the photographs, that we capture, as your own. You may post them on social medias as long as you tag us and/or mention us in the description. Client must include a photo credit with the name of the photographer on all photos shared and distributed. If you fail to do this, we will reserve the right to deny you our services in the future. 

  • Example:  "Photo credits to Harley Rose Photography" 

• We reserve the right to use images created during any sessions or events for advertising, display, publication or other purposes. Original, edits, digital files and previews remain the exclusive property of Harley Rose Photography. If we photograph you and post the pictures on our website or social medias, we will post the ones we feel are best. If you are not happy with our choices, feel free to contact us regarding the situation. We will take down any pictures as necessary. In the event of any privacy requirements, please let us know. We will refrain from posting any requested images onto our website and social medias. For exclusive use of photos, without Harley Rose Photography using them for advertising purposes, please contact Harley Rose Photography to arrange this prior to booking. 

• Client will not use the Photos for any of the following purposes:

  • •  No Unlawful Use. Client will not use the photos in any unlawful manner, such as pornography or defamation.  

    •  No Products for Resale. Client will not use the photos in any goods or products where the photos are the primary value. (Printing out images for calendars, frames, posters, or other items for the sole purpose of selling.) An exception may include compensating Harley Rose Photography with profits earned through selling images captured by Harley Rose Photography. This exception may be discussed between the client and Harley Rose Photography. 

Weather:

• If inclement weather or other adverse conditions prevent the creation of a portrait meeting the artistic standards of Harley Rose Photography, we may suggest to use an alternate location or to reschedule the session. 

• Harley Rose Photography reserves the right not put any equipment at risk for damage due to inclement weather conditions. 

Damages:

• In the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or media malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the Photographer, Harley Rose Photography will not be held accountable. We are willing to correct any mistakes resulting from any electronic malfunctions or "photobombing" incidents. You may be compensated by a Harley Rose Photography eGift card with an amount agreed upon between the client and Harley Rose Photography or by an equivalent session to retake the photos. 

• If any equipment or props are damaged during any session at the fault of the client, Harley Rose Photography reserves the right to add any costs of any damaged equipment to the final cost of the session and reserves the right to withhold all images until balance is paid in full. 

• Harley Rose Photography is not to be held responsible for any injuries, illnesses, or property damages that may occur from any photo sessions, events, or where Harley Rose Photography's services are being used. Each client has their own free will to avoid dangerous situations and activities that may relate to any photo session. 

Pricing: 

• The charges for all sessions are based on our standard price list. This price list is adjusted periodically and future orders shall be charged at the prices in effect at the time when the session is booked.

• No part of any order, including previews, will be delivered until the balance is paid in full. 

No-Shows & Unpunctual Clientele:

• In the event of no shows, you may be invoiced a no-show fee of 25% or more of the final cost of the event or session, depending on the location of session and length of time scheduled.

• In the event of unpunctual clientele, Harley Rose Photography reserves the right to remain at the location for exclusively the scheduled time frame. Additional fees may be added based on length of delays and/or sessions.

Miscellaneous:

• If we feel uncomfortable during a photoshoot, we reserve our right to leave. If you or anyone in your group makes any Harley Rose Photography associates feel uncomfortable, we will end the photo session and you will be charged at least 50% of the price for the session. Please do not ask us to do anything we may feel uncomfortable doing.

• If we feel we are not a good option for you as a photographer, whether due to scheduling conflicts or other reasons, we are happy to recommend other photographers in the area.

Editing:

• ​Our goal is to deliver beautiful, authentic images that reflect the session. Standard editing is applied to all delivered images and includes professional adjustments to color, contrast, exposure, and basic spot removal of small distractions. ​As a courtesy, we do remove distracting, unintended elements in the background, like unexpected foot traffic. 

• ​Major retouching requests, which are not included in your package include:  ​Body & Appearance Alterations such as any significant digital modification of physical appearance, such as body reshaping, extensive wrinkle removal, changing eye or hair color, or digital tanning. We cannot digitally add individuals who were not present at the session or remove subjects who were intended to be in the photograph. ​If you require a shot without a specific person present, please communicate this to your photographer during the session. 

• If you are unsatisfied with your pictures due to any of the following reasons:  glasses glare, blinking, not edited satisfactorily, blur, or other physical or technical problems, PLEASE contact us as soon as possible. Do not stay unsatisfied. We will help to make it right.
